Ambient figures describe the fixture's rated environment, not the surface it is mounted to. Confirm the measured temperature at mounting height before selecting.
Specification path
High heat shortens driver life, degrades optics and drives lumen depreciation long before a fixture fails outright. Confirm the ambient measured at mounting height across a full production cycle, then check whether the driver is integral or remote — the 150°C family places the driver outside the heat, which changes both mounting and conduit work.
A fixture rated for a given ambient assumes free air movement around the housing. Enclosed or radiant-loaded positions need the next tier up.

The rating describes the air temperature the fixture is qualified to operate in. Measure at mounting height during peak production rather than at floor level, since the difference in a hot bay is often substantial.
The RT-IL-150C family places the driver outside the heat and is the documented option for the highest ambient tier. Confirm the driver location and cable run before mounting, since it changes the installation.
Not automatically. High ambient and area classification are separate requirements. If the area is classified, review the explosion proof category and confirm both requirements against the specific catalog number.
