Specification path

The enclosure decides the family. Output comes second.

Confirm whether the area is wet, washdown or corrosive, and whether cleaning is manual or high pressure. Then check lens and reflector options against the task — a diffuser and a silver reflector produce very different results in the same housing — followed by voltage, mounting and any NSF requirement.

A wet location and a washdown location are not the same specification. The second implies pressure, chemistry and temperature.

How do I choose between the CIT2 and CIT4 families?

Both are documented across 2 ft and 4 ft formats with similar ingress options. CIT4 extends further up the wattage range for high bay duty. Compare the ordered configuration against the at-a-glance table above.

Which families carry NSF listings?

The CIT2, R5 and SL families are documented with NSF options for food-grade work. Confirm the listing on the specific catalog number, since it does not apply to every configuration in a family.

Are these fixtures suitable for classified hazardous areas?

No. Ingress protection and hazardous-location certification are separate. If the area carries a class and division, review the explosion proof category instead.
